I. Educational Objectives

This major is designed to cultivate students to have a broad vision of combining Chinese and western, to have a solid foundation of the basic theory of law and professional knowledge and skills in international law. They are expected to have strong language advantage and be acquainted with Chinese law and Chinese culture. Graduates will be the professionals who can provide legal service in all kinds of legal affairs, especially in international legal affairs.

II. Educational Requirements

Students are expected to gain the following abilities:

1. Understand and master law, especially the basic theory and knowledge of International Law;

2. Know economy, society and culture of both China and the west, understand Chinese legal system and judicial practice, possess a strong application ability of law English and basic Chinese skills;

3. Ability to analyze and solve the problem of modern international legal affairs, to handle the cases of civil, commercial, administrative and criminal, to write legal instruments, to be good at both written and spoken communication, to have a good practical ability and scientific research ability.

III. Core Courses

The core courses mainly include Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Chinese Legal History, Civil Law 2 ( Real Right Law, Property Law ), Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Law，Civil Procedure Law, Criminal Procedure Law, International Law, Legal Professional, International Economic Law, Private International Law, International Commercial Law, Environment and Resources Law, Employment and Social Security Law.

IV. Length of Program and Graduate Requirements

(a) Length of program: 4 years.

(b) Minimum requirement of credit: A minimum of 130 credits is required, with 102credits for compulsory courses and 28 credits for elective courses. Non-art majors must take at least one course in the "public art course" section of the "general core elective course" and obtain the course credit before graduation.

V. Degree Awarding and Requirements

Students who are in accordance with the relevant provisions of Interim Regulations on the Cultivation and Working for Foreign Students of Ningbo University will be awarded the graduate certificate and bachelor degree of law of Ningbo University.
