2007年获得法律硕士（JM）和公共管理硕士（MPA）2个专业硕士点。2010年与中国社科院法学所联合培养博士生。2011年获得法学一级学科硕士点，现设民商法学、刑法学、经济法学、国际法学、宪法与行政法学、诉讼法学、理论法学及环境与资源保护法学等8个二级学科硕士点。2012年共建渔业经济管理二级博士点。2017年获得公共管理一级学科硕士点。
Law School achieved two professional Master's Degree (JM and MPA) in 2007. In 2010, Law School have started jointly training doctoral students with Law Institute of Chinese academy of social sciences. Law School also achieved First-Level Disciplines for Master's Degree of law in 2011, and eight Second-Level Disciplines for Master's Degree including Civil and Commercial law, Criminal Law, Economic Law, International Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Procedural Law, Theoretical Jurisprudence, Environment and Natural Resources Protection Law. In 2012, Law School got a jointly training doctoral program for fishery economic management. Law School achieved First-Level Disciplines for Master's Degree of public administration in 2011.
法学专业是国家特色专业（浙江唯一）和国家综合改革试点专业、浙江省十三五优势专业、宁波市品牌专业和宁波大学首批国际化建设专业。法学专业教学团队是浙江省首届高等学校省级教学团队。法学专业设四大学科方向，即民商法学、宪法与行政法学、国际法学、环境与资源保护法学，并形成了民营经济与中小企业法治服务、法治政府与地方治理、生态文明与海洋法治三大特色领域。专业建设成效显著，国际化办学特色凸显，已形成留学生本硕博多层次人才培养体系。
The Law major has been chosen as the national featured one, Key Discipline of Zhejiang Province and Excellent Discipline of Zhejiang Province. The teaching team of Law major is the first provincial teaching team of colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province. The Law major consists of four major disciplines: civil and commercial law, constitutional and administrative law, international law, and environmental and resource law. The Law major has formed three characteristic fields: private economy and small-medium-sized enterprise legal service, legal government and local governance, ecological civilization and Marine law. Remarkable achievements have been made in major construction, the characteristics of international education have been highlighted and a multi-level talent training system for overseas students has been formed.
法学学科是浙江唯一的省级一流学科（A类），是浙江省高校人文社科重点研究基地，民商法学和公共管理是浙江省重点学科。学院与其他单位合作，建有浙江省哲学社会科学重点研究基地1个（浙江省海洋文化与经济研究中心）、浙江省新型高校智库2个（东海研究院、非公有制经济人士统战工作理论研究中心），并与中国社科院合作共建“和谐社会与法治建设研究中心”。
The Law Discipline of Law School is the only first-class Discipline of Class A in Zhejiang Province, and has been chosen as the key Research Center for Humanities and Social Science in Zhejiang Province. Civil and Commercial Law and Public Management are two key subjects of Zhejiang Province. We have built the Key Research Center for Marine Culture and Economy in Zhejiang Province, Donghai Institute and Research Institute for Theory of United Front Work among Non-Public Economy Representatives. What’s more, we also have built Research Center for Harmonious Society and Legal Construction in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
行政管理专业所属学科公共管理是省、市重点建设学科。本专业立足于浙江省和宁波市走在全国前列的行政管理实践，形成了特色鲜明的政府治理、土地资源管理专业模块，与全国一流大学公共管理硕士点学科方向相对接、与国家与地方政府的公务员需求相对接。行政管理专业拥有与中国社科院等其他单位合作共建省级平台3个、拥有“宁波市地方政府治理研究基地”等市级平台3个。本专业师资力量雄厚，拥有学术领军人才1名，国务院特殊津贴获得者1名，浙江省151人才工程培养人员及其他省级人才7名。本专业已形成“厚基础、分模块、重创新、强实践”的本科人才培养模式。
Administration Management major belongs to the discipline of public administration. Public administration is a key discipline of provincial and municipal construction major. This major is based on the administrative management practice of Zhejiang Province and Ningbo City, which is at the forefront of the country. And Administration Management major has formed a distinctive professional module of government governance and land resource management, which is relatively connected with the discipline direction of the master's degree in public management of national first-class universities and the civil servant demand of national and local governments. The Administrative Management major has three provincial platforms jointly built with other institutions such as the Chinese academy of social sciences, and three municipal platforms such as Ningbo local government governance research base. This major has abundant teaching staff, with one academic leading talent, one state council special allowance recipient, and seven personnel of 151 talent project of Zhejiang Province and other provincial talents. This major has formed an undergraduate talent training mode of thick foundation, modules, innovation, strong practice.
