Course selection starts. Please read the following details carefully.

What courses you should choose？

Check your Study Plan and your own Learn Target(in Ehall, search 学习预警）. Then choose courses according to them. Study Plan tells you the courses you need. Learn Target tells you whether you need a retake.

Or you can check in your program by yourself.

Website

Two ways to login the website for course selection:

① If you are on campus, the website is //jwxk.dianjingsite.com/.

② If you are off campus, you should use webvpn to login //vpn.dianjingsite.com, and the steps are as follows:

First login //vpn.dianjingsite.com

After login successfully, click “教务选课” as the following shows，then the page will turn to course selection system.

Check your selection

Please login EHALL to check 我的课表(my schedule). Some courses are not arranged a place, they will appear on the right side of your timetable and have been registered(in the red rectangle).

Reminder

①In the first round, if the number registered in one course is larger than the limit of that class, the system will delete the extra number of students and the priority is as follows: Recommended class>within the study plan>Senior grade.

②In the second round, first come first get, till the number is the limit. When a course shows FULL, it cannot be registered.      

③In the third round, you could have a chance to try the courses in the first two weeks. Then you could decide to add or drop courses before the due time.    

Please note that after Mar 13th, there is NO WAY to add or drop courses.

Introduction to the sections in the course selection system.

①Recommended courses(推荐选课). These courses are open for your class, so-called “class schedule”. Please choose these courses first. Except that you have passed some courses in the class schedule or you have HSK to exempt from taking Chinese Comprehensive and Listening and Speaking courses.

②Courses in your study plan(本专业培养方案课程选课). These courses are included in your study plan and their course code is the same with that in your plan.

③Courses beyond your study plan(非本专业培养方案课程选课). These courses are not in your study plan because their course codes are different from your plan. If you need to retake some courses and cannot find anywhere, try to find in this section, since sometimes there are courses with different codes but same name. Do remember to choose courses delivered in English instead of Chinese.

④Public elective courses(公共选修课). Theses courses are all in Chinese and not necessary for you.

⑤Retake courses(不及格重修课程). These are the retake courses. If you cannot find the course you failed and need to retake, please go to section 2 or 3 to search by Chinese name or code of the course.

⑥PE classes(大学体育选课). Only open to Chinese students.

⑦Not necessary.

⑧Search the courses. You cannot choose courses in this section but only do searching.

Attention

①Please confirm that the courses you choose are in English. Check the card when you are doing the selection or refer to the file I upload in the attachment.

②Please check your schedule before new semester starts, sometimes the time or classroom will be changed.

③Don’t choose too many courses. If you cannot get 1/2 of the total credits you have registered in one semester, you will get a learn warning. Two warnings, no degree.

④Course selection is an important part of teaching activities, please do it yourself.

According to the student handbook, “Chapter IV Courses, Article 12 International undergraduate students shall sign up for courses for next semester online by themselves within the stipulated time period each semester. Otherwise, students shall not attend classes and take exams, and the results of unregistered courses shall be invalid even after the exam.”
