The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program is designed for foreign lawyers who wish to advance their legal education in a stimulating academic environment. The College offers the dual advantages of a highly-regarded law curriculum at a major U.S. university and an LL.M. program of limited size that allows for individualized attention and support.
Admission Requirements
The LL.M. program is limited to students who have:
- obtained an LL.B. from a foreign country; or
- completed in a foreign country the university-based legal education required to take the equivalent of the bar examination in that foreign country; or
- qualified to practice law in a foreign country; or
- the equivalent thereof as determined by the LL.M. Admissions Committee.
Application Requirements
- All previous transcripts
- A minimum TOEFL score (80) or IELTS score (6.5)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Resume
- Personal statement

Tuition & Fees
International LL.M. students will be charged non-Ohio resident annual tuition.*

A $225 seat deposit is required to reserve a place in the LL.M. class at the time of admission. $200 of that seat deposit will be applied to the student’s fall semester tuition.

There are a variety of scholarships and loan options available to assist students. All applications completed and received by February 1 will receive priority consideration for scholarship awards. All applicants will be automatically considered for all applicable scholarships.

Housing
Graduate, professional and non-traditional students may choose to live on campus or off campus. We are proud to offer convenient, safe housing for professional, graduate and non-traditional students in our Neil Avenue Building at 1578 Neil Avenue and at the South Campus Gateway.
The following rates are the approved rates for the 2017-2018 academic year. For your convenience, all rent payments can be made online.
